Summer is almost here, which means that
it must be time to swap jumpers for t-shirts and boots for sandals. As always
there are several key pieces that you will want to have in your wardrobe that
can be teamed with other items to provide some of this summer's hottest looks.
Provided below is a guide to the top five must-have pieces for summer 2012.
Wide-legged
trousers
Wide-legged trousers or palazzo pants
are back for summer 2012. This key item can be worn virtually anywhere. They
are available in a wide range of colours and fabrics and whether you decide to
go for plain or patterned; the wider the leg, the better. If you are tall, make
sure you pair these versatile trousers with flat sandals, or for the more
petite, adding a pair of wedges will be flattering and make your legs look
longer.
Classic
white dress
White summer dresses have rarely, if
ever, been out of fashion, but they are definitely a key piece for your summer
wardrobe in 2012. This must-have item will be something you will wear time and
again and can be teamed with a variety of accessories to make it look different
every time you wear it. Try accessorising for the office using classic black,
or choose a colour from the neon palette if you fancy something more vibrant.
Alternatively, keep it light by using metallics. If you have an eye for gold or
silver

Best
foot forward
If you want to embrace the trend for
wearing shoes that are partially or in some cases almost totally clear, you
will need to ensure that your feet are in tip-top condition. This look will not
be loved by everyone. However, for the dedicated fashionista, there will be
nothing better than wearing a pair of shoes and people being unable to see some
of them.
Tropical
prints
Items with a tropical print are not for
the faint-hearted and certainly should not be worn if you do not want to stand
out. Going out dressed top to toe in such prints will not be for everyone, but
wearing one such item teamed with other colours can help you to stand out in a
crowd and make a potentially dull outfit a lot more memorable. The trend for
tropical prints is one that will certainly come around again, so any pieces you
purchase can be stored in your wardrobe until the next time.

This timeless accessory means that you
know that summer has arrived. You can use it for trips to the beach or the town
and its classic style means that it will go with virtually any outfit. Although
this has been picked as a key trend for summer 2012, investing in a decent
straw bag means that it is the perfect accessory to use summer after summer.
