Top Face Mask Picks

Hello, I'm Angelica and I write a beauty blog called One Little Vice and today I'm sharing my top face mask picks with you. I've chosen one that will offer you moisturising goodness, a drugstore and 'high-er end' clay based cleansing mask along with a wonderful cleansing and exfoliating option from a seriously under appreciated brand. Hopefully they'll all tickle your fancy!

Top Face Mask Picks

Up first are two relatively purse-friendly options from the really wonderful range Super Facialist by Una Brennan. Both are extremely good value for money coming in at around £10 mark and lasting you over six months each, even if you use them weekly. The Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask is a five minute miracle which injects a well needed dose of moisture into dry or dehydrated skin. Nothing in the ingredients frightens me away from it and on my sensitive skin it doesn't present any unpleasant skin. I use this weekly and always feel like my skin looks the most soft and plump the next day, the effects it gives are what keeps me reaching for it over and over.

Una Brennan's Tea Flower Deep Clean Pore Purifying Clay Mask tends to only grace my t-zone as it is a little bit harsh on my dry, sensitive cheeks but it is a fantastic face mask. Until I added another clay mask into my collection this was the one I reached for whenever I was getting unhappy with the state of my skin, it works wonders on blackheads and open pores. It isn't a 'miracle' product but for it's price it really is great and is full of effective ingredients such as salicylic acid, which is great for purifying and smoothing out skin, as well as shea butter and avocado oil which stops it being too harsh. If you aren't ready to invest in more expensive products then I would definitely recommend picking up these two Super Facialist masks.

I recently received Origins' Clear Improvement Mask as a gift and it was a much welcome addition to my skincare routine. It is another clay mask but it feels very different on the skin to Una Brennan's offering but the effects of each are similar. Origins Clear Improvement Mask is fantastically effective at purifying the skin and feels as though it just sucks all impurities out of your pores as it dries. I'm really loving this face mask and feel as though the effects it gives are definitely worth it's £20 price tag, especially as if you used this weekly or fortnightly this will last you months and months.

Last up is Laidbare For Richer For Porer Pore Minimiser Facial Masque. Laidbare is a brand that should definitely be on your radar if you like natural beauty options and great bargains as all the products of theirs that I've tried have been incredibly effective. This mask is also clay based but it feels a lot lighter and less drying than the others I've already mentioned. Mixed into the clay are exfoliating particles which are pretty sparsely spread but are quite large, depending on how you apply and remove this it can be used either as a cleansing mask as well as an exfoliating treatment. The smell of this mask is gorgeous, it's a naturally sweet  scent with a strong liquorice undertone but when applied this smell isn't at all overwhelming. I find that this face mask soothes and calms my skin (which is often quite red) and although it isn't overly affected on my pores it does smooth my skin and refine the appearance of them. I'd highly recommend checking Laidbare out (their gel cleanser is another firm favourite of mine).

So that's the low down on the four face masks I love and use regularly! Thanks very much to Shang for letting me guest post, I hope you enjoyed it and please feel free to check out my blog or to tweet me (@onelittlevice) if you're ever in the mood for beauty chats.
