Influenced by the magnificent megaplumes, Dramatic Lash Mascara
achieves the same impressive effect of false lash extensions, delivering full,
thick, long and perfectly curled lashes to all who covet a mesmerising gaze.
Graduating curves of strong, hollow fibres spiraling around the classic
maxi-brush, gently and evenly sweep colour over every single lash without
clumping. Even more difficult to reach, short lashes can be given perfect
volume and curl. With colours borrowed from a submerged cosmos, adorn lashes
with the abyssal hues of ox-blood or carbon black.

THE BASICS
Dramatic Lash Mascara
comes in the shade Oxblood Panache
with 9ml of product in the tube. The mascara has a natural jellifying system and
filmogen complex to give superior flexibility and shine. The panthenol in it
strengthens and restructures and its non-stop moisturising action nourishes and
prevents breakage.
MY OPINION
I have never been a coloured mascara girl. And even after
trying this pretty mascara, I am not. But I am sure there are many of you out
there who like this extra bit of edginess to your eyes and may find this review
helpful.
Rouge Bunny Rouge
Dramatic Lash Mascara comes in a sleek black tube covered with beautiful
white intricate patterns. Out of the tube emerges a big sized wand covered in
oxblood formula. For a mini-second I was really excited over the prospect of
coloured eyelashes.
The formula is more on the drier side but does the job
pretty well, since you can build and build without creating a wet mess. The
wand helps coat each and every lash. It does a really good job of separating
eyelashes. I love that about it. I won’t
say the mascara is anywhere ‘dramatic’, it
does makes my lashes noticeable as you’d see in the swatches below, but there
is no dramatic volume or length to
them. Or if by dramatic RBR is referring to the shade oxblood that’s
a different thing then.
The oxblood shade, I don’t think is meant to really pop. It
is a very subtle hue that appears reddish-plum out in the sunlight and is more
brown inside. I have used two coats of mascara in the swatch below. I have dark
lashes and the colour does not look very stark. On lighter eyelashes, this
mascara would look more noticeable and prettier. But on the brighter side, I can wear lightly oxblood tinted
eyelashes without looking artsy. I am a dark, deep, thick, black eyelashes fan,
which is why this mascara doesn’t play with my heart’s strings, otherwise
formula and concept wise the mascara is pretty impressive.
The staying power is amazing. It is water-resistant. It doesn’t
clump, smudge or flake on my eyes throughout the day. Also I never have much of
a problem keeping the curl on my lashes, so this mascara keeps them curled well
too.
Sorry for the different lighting, the sun just wouldn't stay still. |
In this picture I have applied the mascara over Maybelline The Rocket Volume Mascara. In the sunlight, the slight tint of red is visible
otherwise it is quite similar to wearing a brown mascara.
Personally I am not sold over the coloured lashes thing but I have to admit the subtle
oxblood hue does look intriguing. Especially if I pair it with a bold winged
eyeliner, quite similar to the RBR’s Khazaria look here.
MY RATING
Oxblood was the ‘it’ colour last year and till now it doesn’t fail to look glam. RBR Megaplume Mascara in Oxblood Panache is divine if you are into slightly tinted eyelashes but doesn't do a lot in the volume and lengthening department.
