THE BASICS
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils are an eyeliner and an eyeshadow in one. They are available in 32 colours and contain 5g of product.
MY OPINION
We all rave about Milk Jumbo Eye Pencil, right? So much so that is never in stock in any store. So for all those who cannot get their hands on the infamous Milk, Cottage Cheese is quite a good alternative or maybe even better. I got this from a blog sale and I am glad I did since I never would have gotten to try it otherwise as NYX is slightly expensive in Germany.
Milk is a plain white super pigmented eye pencil that is mostly used as an eyeshadow base to make the colours pop. Cottage Cheese is silverish white with shimmer (not glitter) which does amazing highlighting of the inner corners and brow bone. It can also be used as a base for shimmer eyeshadows or to give the matte ones a satin finish. Unlike NYX's other Jumbo Eye Pencils, I personally think Cottage Cheese won't look very flattering if applied alone. It looks best in combination with other eyeshadows, as a base or as a highlighter.
In comparison to Milk, it is less opaque which makes the eyeshadows look more natural. It is beautifully creamy and if you are using it as an eyeshadow I suggest a primer underneath since it creases slightly.
We all have some kind of signature makeup habit, highlighting the inner corners of eyes is mine. This Jumbo Eye Pencil comes in super handy; I grab it, place it, smudge it and I am good to go. The shimmer does fade throughout the day, the intensity I would say lasts for 3 hours or so before lightening.
The only thing I wish is that it was retractable, would have made the job so much easier. But well like most eye pencils it has to be sharpened.
Nonetheless, nothing beats its uses and the price!
