A week back when I was cleaning my skincare drawer, I saw all these empty products lying around because I am such a hoarder. Before getting rid of them, I thought they'd make a perfect Skincare Empties post with my li'l review on how I went on with each product.
It claims to be a super-hydrating serum for thirsty skin. To be honest, when my skin was extremely dry I didn't really benefit from it. This would be wonderful to balance the skin's moisture if you are oily, combo or normal but if you are really, really dry I'd definitely try something else.
2. REN ACTIVE 7 EYE GEL| $30
I'd definitely say this eye gel is lightweight, moisturising and does reduce puffiness. But dark circles? Nope, not really! I didn't feel any noticeable lightening of my under eye area. And if that is what you want, I'd skip this 30 bucks eye gel.
3. GROWN ALCHEMIST HYDRA-REPAIR DAY CREAM | $31.30
Now, something worth the price! My skin is weirdly between dry and combo. I break out if the moisture is not enough or is too much. My skin wants extra hydration but something that does not clog the pores. This day cream ticked all boxes. It was non-greasy yet very moisturising. It really brought my skin to its best form.
4. CLINIQUE DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT MOISTURIZING CREAM | $26
Another moisturiser that I really enjoyed using! Unfortunately, Clinique's Dramatically Different skincare line does get many bad reviews. But for some reason it agreed pretty well with my skin. I did not suffer from any breakout or congestion. It kept my skin smooth, clear and well-hydrated.
5. ELF MAKEUP MIST & SET | $6
Not really a skincare product but I thought I'd include this as well. It is often compared with the MAC Fix+. I'd say it is pretty good makeup refreshing spray but nothing like MAC's. If you are on a budget, you can give this a go.

6. KIEHL'S MIDNIGHT RECOVERY EYE CREAM | $37
I found this more hydrating for the under eye area than the Ren Active 7. So if you have really dry under eyes pick this! It sinks pretty well into the skin and really smoothes everything out. It doesn't claim to reduce dark circles which I feel no cream can do. But it does give a more brighter appearance to the eyes.
