MY OPINION
It might be shocking but this is my first time ever trying out Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadows. I have wanted to get a palette by them for a long, long time but it was finally made possible when Cult Beauty had a 20% off on this and I caved in.
Let's begin with the velour packaging, which does feel very soft and luxurious but is a magnet to all kinda dirt. The moment I opened the palette, I somehow transferred the black eyeshadow onto it. And I am pretty sure the more I use it, the grubbier it's gonna get. The palette comes with a full-size mirror and a dual ended brush.
Soft Glam is perfect if you are looking for a warm-toned neutral eyeshadows that work for both daytime and night-time looks. I know there are hundreds of warm neutral palettes but I never get tired of these easy-to-work-with colours. This palette carries 7 of the old ABH classics. Again, since this is my first ABH palette, everything is new to me. You can consider skipping on it, if you already own some of the colours. But the old 7 and the new 7 eyeshadows make this a perfect neutral palette to carry around.
Soft Glam contains 14 shades with most of them being mattes and the others being shimmers. Except for maybe one or two, all the eyeshadows have fabulous quality. They are so buttery, easy-to-blend even for a novice, highly pigmented and just sit so well. I am definitely blown away with the formula. I love a good, velvety eyeshadow that applies like a dream. Especially, mattes are mostly disappointing but not in Soft Glam. There is some kickback during application but nothing major. The shadows wear very well. And this palette is definitely a go-to if you love neutrals.
